Introduction: Poorly differentiated thyroid carcinoma (PDTC) and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) have been conjectured to arise from well differentiated thyroid carcinoma (WDTC) due to frequently reported synchronous and metachronous occurrence.
